    Re: Alternatives to stowa

Well some Parnis arrivals kept me happy for a while, but not for long.

After a few attempts to buy a secondhand Stowa from the classifieds I bit the bullet and ordered one a few months ago.

I've been looking at some of his auctions, but not speaking German or knowing anyone who could put this together I feel a bit out of my depth.

    Re: Alternatives to stowa

Keep your money. save a little more. Get the Stowa.

If the Stowa is what you want, and you go for anything else, you will always have a small voice telling you you have an ersatz.
    Although I must...

    Re: Christopher Ward

    Thanks for the replies all.

I'm having a bit of a dilemma about what my next purchase will be. I've got my eye on:

    A stowa (see another thread)
    A seiko on ebay
    A CWL (C40 or C8 pilot), also...

    Alternatives to stowa

    Hi,

I really like some of the stowas, particularly the clean looks of the Marine Automatic.

I have a sinn 556 (from this very forum) which I...

Re: REVIEW - Omega Planet Ocean

I bought a PO and a tag at the same time, and have hardly worn the tag, the PO feeling very "right" on the wrist

    Christopher Ward

What are people's opinions on them?

I had a C5 for a short time, but the proportions weren't right so I sent it back. Since then I've been thinking about a C40 or C8.

    Anyone have any wrist...

But to help you out more - there are 2 "Alex"'s in the shop, and if you end up talking to one with an adam's apple then you've got the wrong one

    Re: Omega PO questions

In case it helps anyone else, after trawling round every jeweller in Canary Wharf, Lakeside, Bluewater and a few more, this is what I've found:

    Re: Omega PO questions

OK all, I've gone and done it!

I settled for a large size, black bezel with orange numbers on a steel strap. The bezel and strap may be changed in due course, but this is how I'd like to start.

    Re: Omega PO questions

However, if you're going to use both, and swap between them, it makes more sense to buy the PO on the bracelet, and then buy the strap. The bracelet is fearsomely expensive as an after-purchase item....
