It works! It works!
Thanks, Eddie,
Steve.
Ta! I don't know many on-line retailers where you get service like this!
Steve
Bugger! What shall I do, then?
Steve.
Eddie,
I'll fax off the order - simpler all round!
Steve.
Eddie,
I was wanting to order one of the Lady's Seiko 5 Sports (the blue-faced ones), but the basket wouldn't seem to work and I couldn't see how to access the basket from the catalogue pages. It...
Am I being a bit thick here, or is the online ordering not working on the new site?
Steve
(aka, probably, "Being a Bit Thick Here")
One of the best watches in my collection, my SBII! I had it bought for me for my 40th birthday. It's the ivory version, which I think makes it very distinctive. Keeps excellent time and, I think,...
Congratulations, Wombat, you are truly the sultan of ugliness, the high priest of the mutant watch freak, the emperor of tat!
Steve
A bit late, I know, but here's my pic of the lume on my Seiko 5:

If you look closely, you can just see how the lume is thinner (ie less...
I have a Seiko 5 which definitely uses the "skeleton" approach. The hour hand is quite wide and the lume is slightly translucent - I can just about see through it as it moves over the date window.

Oh dear, what a fool I've been. . .
Steve.
Very nice watches. Does anyone have any idea on prices?
Steve.
I have a couple of Slavas. They're certainly not pretty. The designs seem to date from old Soviet days when cheapness and plain functionality ruled. The watch equivalent of Lada cars.
Steve.
This is one of my own - a Vostock watch commemorating the 300th anniversary of St Petersburg (give or take the odd name change). I was sent it by mistake by the supplier. The more I look at it, the...
Maybe the bezel rotates and the time just sort of peeks around it?
Steve.
Well done, Blovitch, I think the best man won. 8)
Will the government be bringing out legislation to stop people using digital cameras whilst driving?

You fail to mention the Mitsubishi (I think) Pony and the Daihatsu Charade!
Steve.
PS: and, of course, the ever unpopular Ford Edsel.
Silly in its way - this is my partner's "Yuri Gagarin Junior Space Cadet" watch from Vostok:

"There will now be a partly idiotical bombast on behalf of the Montres Allison party. . ." :pukeright:

At the office today, this little number which some of you gentlemen might recognise. . .

This evening, a Vostock (very cheap, but very...
Well, it has appeared before (sort of), but. . . Sinn 356:

Is this over and can I go home now? :withstupid:
Steve.
Excellent purchases, Neil! I particularly like the Oris and Ingersol. 8)
