All very nice. I would love to see the return of this model. I had both versions at one time or another. Foolishly they both got flipped.

Very nice. I bought one from the Forum. My Father still has it. My only dislike was the lug width, which was too wide for the case, and spoiled the proportions.
I always use heavy duty shoulder less spring bars for use with NATOs.I then snip them off in the autumn when the bracelet goes back on.
Having had plenty of experience of handling Angus Duraline over the years I would say you would do well to find anything tougher, although there may be some sacrifice in comfort. More of a thick...
It will be interesting to see how traditional Watch makers, both Swiss and Japanease, react to this new development. Will the ball be dropped ala the quartz revolution?
14060M for me as the direct descendant of the original Sub.
As stated, a well balanced attractive collection.Impressive.
I have had a retro style Citizen Promaster Divers Watch BK3150-04EE for the last four months and it is the best watch i have ever owned (and i've had a few). It is reasonably sized, has a slim...
They are loosely woven and heat sealed. You just pop the pin between the weave for the best fit . They are also slightly thicker than a standard Nato but no less comfortable.
I go with the index finger between strap/bracelet and wrist theory. I see guys wearing them murder tight and it just looks uncomfortable. On the other hand wearing it loose over the wrist bone looks...
Gutted. Just missed him last week. One of the few Stand-ups i like. Dry and insightful stuff.
Not sure about the spring bar. I guess you need to find a really slim one. I can however confirm the bearing from a bog standard bic fits a treat. Good luck.
It's nice when you find a keeper. I did some loss calculations on my flipping a couple of years and have since slowed it right down.
All very nice. Never did get the M1 I was after. Prices for new O&W have ramped too.
Looks nicely proportioned. Enjoy your new watch.
Great review and nice back story. I have a vintage 1500 Date and was considering letting it go. Your article has given me pause for thought.
Tried an Albatross 'high tech' Nytech by RIOS recently as a half way between leather and fabric. It's a comfortable attractive strap. Unfortunately it cracked and split open within a month. Was not...
Rubber. Bracelets hate sand and Nato's expand when wet and collect suncream.
Top one- Too stark. I would get bored of that quickly.
Bottom one- Ok, but looks like a Hamilton Field.
Middle one- There you go! Rugged yet stylish.Am loving the cream dial.
Good luck...
You have got to be kidding. It looks like one of those Ice watches.
I also have a 6.5 inch wrist and to my mind that looks about the limit.
Impressed with that.
Don't do it. I have several times and always regretted it.
I have a similar dilemma with my vintage Rolex date that i had renovated from near death by Bexley several years ago. Perhaps the fact it's a casual/dress watch and not a sports model but more often...
And when they start to look rough you can re bezel and strap them quite cheaply and they come up as good as new.
