Thanks for your reply. I might chance my arm (ho ho) in Goldsmiths. I'm going to pop in on my birthday, see if that helps lol.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I have a Fraser Hart near me, but not an AMJ, so Fraser Hart may be the one.

Hi all,
It's my 40th birthday in 2 weeks and my wife has said that she would get me one of these for it.
Obviously like the next person I'd like to try and get some discount on said watch.

Received this about 2 weeks ago (yes I know it is cheap)
Well, I would post photos but it seems I have no idea how to do it. I've tried with 2 different photo sharing sites and neither have worked?
I had the same thoughts on a quartz TAG Heuer Carrera. I ended up with an automatic one.
Lol, definitely not just you. We also share the same first name. Perhaps we are the same person??? Lol
Nice to see some Carrera calibre 5's :)
Some very nice watches here. I echo the poster above re having TAG Heuer watches over more expensive ones. I got my first one at 15. 21 years later I got my...
Cheers! Do you know if Casio use the same sensors in each watch?
I see TAG Heuer watches get knocked but tbh I'd take them over any Rolex or Omega TBH. I haven't seen one I like yet. I don't like Breitlings either. Too flashy imo. But then I don't like Patek...
My 2.

2000 Series. Had this 20 years. Bought for me by my parents.

The fact that it reads altitude in conjunction with a barometer is perfect for me. I don't go climbing due to my hearing issue. I just need to know if pressure changes also affecting my hearing.
I have an Android phone. It's not easy reading the elevation while driving on a phone and I don't know how accurate that is either as my car gps is always different.
I need something that works...
Thanks. So is it reliant on you setting 0m first? I want it to work from the current level I am now showing the correctish altitude and working from there.
Are they any good / accurate? I realise that there are factors involved and they measure on barometric pressure as well. I have a hearing condition that differs with altitude and I am wanting to know...
Does anyone have any experience with the altimeter on a Casio Sport Men's Twin Sensor Combi Bracelet Watch, model sgw-450hd-1be or SGW-400HD-1BVER?
Thanks.
does anyone have any experience with the altimeter on a rangeman? I could do with a watch that can give me altitude readings. Cheers.
I'll have to pop along. I don't get to Hull too often living in the South, but I'll make a note to visit when I go back in June for a weekend.
Definitely! More to spend on cars :D
I quite like that. I've seen a few Pepsi ones as well.. good opener..
Nope, but then I've never bought that many watches, or ones that expensive.
Plus I don't really like the Speedmaster (or Seamaster - I am sure I will get flamed for this!), or most of the Rolex's...
I intend to. 4 Currently, aim is to get to 6 for now, as I am in the middle of a house purchase and then I need to buy a new car, so they will take up the bulk of my money for now!
I was born in 1981 and I would like a Seiko from my birth year. My dad was bought a Seiko by my mum when they fell pregnant with me so it kind of resonates with me. I have his watch currently which...
Probably didn't help that when I lived there I wasn't quite into watches, I rarely wore one, and don't always wear one now.
I spent the first 32 years of my life living in Hull but never heard of Blowers! I will need to check them out next time I back home.
Much want!
