I think Longines gets a back seat on all of the watch forums. They were at the top of the pack in the late 1920's and 30's with the Lindbergh watches.
I think the cheaper bracelet comes down to $'s and cents. This is the mass market watch and they want to keep the price point low, so they have to sacrifice something and it is the bracelet...
Note the new serial # placement on the movement to spot fakes.

The one mentioned above is now listed on eBay with a staring bid of 430 pounds. Never mention the previous sellers problem. I wonder if he got it fixed? I am sure that is why it went so cheap.

Beautiful watch. The Copper gives it a Rose gold look without the cost.
To me, the top one looks sorta similar to the Omega 166.073 SM120.
