Can't see a crown up pic only a crown right one and they don't look like scratches to me more like a reflection?
I have done it many times before in the days before I had automatic watch winder/tester.
I always assemble my customers watches with the second hand bang on the markers, no matter how many attempts it takes!
Tuck it !
Tried cutting off excess, never seem to get it quite right.
Begs the question ,why?
If it does dissolve the stem, I would think the crown will suffer to some degree too.
Fake I'm afraid
No quality to the case, movement wrong and Cartier watch dials of this period had the word 'Cartier' as part of the number VII numeral
Ask Neil at Chronomaster.com for a definitive answer, he stocks them
Ask Neil at Chronomaster.com
He has a guy who rebuilds Breitlings so is sure to have a stem.
Make up a solution of warm water and washing up liquid and soak it for 5 mins before rotating bezel until it loosens sufficiently to clear the muck out.
Then continue to rotate under a stream of...
Not the Lemania single button chronographs too?
Pretty much true.
You can fashion one out of thin spring wire if you find the movement rattles about in the case once closed up.

The case spring washers are available on eBay.
If you really get stuck I might have a spare movement ring.
I think the OP means the movement ring that holds the pushers in and the spring washer that sits on on top of it?
My suggestion would be eBay or Cousins Material house, if you don't mind paying a...
Try and 'copy' a USA brand and see what happens :angryfire: double standards ?
Also available in the UK on eBay.
I found these for sale

No sure how to put hot links on here or if I am even allowed to!

I think you can find the Incabloc part number from a Bestfit book if you have access to one.
The crown will be a pretty standard W/P,might have difficulty getting a genuine' West End' one mind.
A simple and quick job for any half decent watchmaker to change.
Re cutting is not advisable as...
Better to either get the correct one for the movement or match up with the original.
Prodding about could do untold damage.[/quote]
So could jamming a heavy implement in there. It's only a £60...
Ah, it's that one. There's a pic of an automatic above, and I wondered why you were trying to change its battery. What you have is probably an Miyota T240, the only Miyota ana-digi I can think of....
Watch smith?
And a good looking watch too !
Unless it comes from the identical watch, chances are the stem length will be either too short, in which case worthless. Or too long and you back in the same position, as you will need to remove crown...
I think I did a similar mod many years ago using just 1kg of Semtex and a box of Swan vestas !
Probably not a good idea to hold by the square, if you are too brutal the stem will snap at its weakest part-the cut out for the bolt piece.
I have found its best to hold as near as possible to the...
