They tried to deliver it on a Monday and left a door tag. I went to the depot that evening and the truck wasn't back yet - and wouldn't be for another hour-and-a-half. I had the next day scheduled...
I've been wearing mine for 8 days straight, now, and it's about 30 seconds off. That makes it about 4 seconds a day. Not bad for a watch that hasn't been broken in, yet.
Regards,
Jeff.
MSM5,
You'll have to ask SWATCH. I believe they own ETA and in recent years have been increasing restrictions, for instance: IIRC, they stopped sales of Ebauches a few years ago. Now you can...
Thank you very much, Eddie. It's wonderful.
Regards,
Jeff
I also got an e-mail from UPS: they estimate delivery on Monday December 2 (while I'm at work), so (if they're on schedule) I'll pick it up at their depot that evening.
Again, thank you very much,...
Abbs,
I'm sorry you missed out (not sorry enough, however, to give up mine to you:devilish:). Look on the bright side: Eddie said he had 200 movements to make DNVs. Today was only the first...
I just got my order for Voyager confirmed: #RC15233979. :love-struck:
Regards,
Jeff.
The hour can't be drawing too nigh, because someone else just posted that Eddie, et cie are going on holiday for a couple of weeks!
Regards,
Jeff.
:omg:So, the Dreadnought Voyager release will be delayed some more, huh? Man, this is killing me!
Well, I certainly hope he has a safe holiday.
Regards,
Jeff.
You make an excellent point, Rollon. You should still make sure of which 6:00 you're at (AM or PM) so that when you finally set the current time you're sure the date will click over around midnight...
Okay, Eddie, that looks good. Now for the "$64,000 question":
When is it going to happen for real?!?
Jeff.
Darwin,
Your explanation applies to any ETA with a quick-set date, although I had heard that the time was -3/+4. So don't try to set a quick-set date function if the watch time is between 9:00...
No, Chris. I had THIS in mind when I wrote that reply. Note: I've seen it for less than this site's listed price, just wanted to show it to you.
That said, the one you found looks easier to use...
Chris,
Rather than 2 screwdrivers, which I find can be very awkward to handle together, you might consider getting a "Watch Bracelet Holder" and a single 1.5mm screwdriver instead. It's a folding...
UPS delivered mine yesterday.
One Bergeron 1mm screwdriver plus 1 Bergeron bracelet clamp with integrated screwdriver tip minus 3-1/2 links equals one perfectly fitting PRS-68 Smith's diver's...
UPS estimates Monday delivery. ...Can't wait...
Congrats on scoring a venerable old name brand. This makes me appreciate the PRS-68 that's coming all the more.
BTW, UPS estimates delivery on Monday. Coincidentally, I'd scheduled that day off...
I very much appreciate your sharing the info with me.:notworthy:
So, Eddie has acquired the rights to Smith's wristwatches and Roger Lascelles has acquired the rights to Smith's clocks? Very...
I'm looking forward to this...
That's very interesting. I'd never heard of Smith's on this side of the 'pond' until I recently joined TZ-UK and saw it listed. The way they were mentioned as being into all sorts of...
Eddie (or any of the other expert denizens here),
Having just ordered the new PRS-68, I was wondering about the "Smith's" label/brand. Is there a horological history to the name, and if so can...
My order confirmation is timestamped 8:57 (GMT-5). When I e-mailed Eddie this morning to confirm availability he said I should hurry because the quantity of orders he received meant he had a 5-day...
Jeff, you must have missed the thread where it states that UK citizens are able to access the webshop 2 hours before US citizens...something to do with Devon farmers and their bath time or something....
Any estimate on how long this might take. I know the others have been drooling over this for many years. I got interested in collecting just after you sold out the DN and never picked one up off...
