Saw the blue one with the new movement at a dealer's window a few months back. It looked so gorgeous and the price was so right that I almost pulled the trigger.

The replies get more mysterious....hmmm...
Thank you all for a warm welcome. There seem to be many new (for me) faces here, as well as some of the old friends who are still around. I look forwards to meeting you all in the virtual watch world!
Sorry, I sold it many years ago. Actually, I'm looking for one myself!
Hello All
Some of you may know me. I am Born T. I was an active member of TZ-UK some time back, and also the artist of the paintings/sketches in the Forum's Born's Gallery. During the last 3-4...
Sounds scary. Well, at least the Forum is now back and we can enjoy it once more.
Wempe.
Look at the prices of mass-produced quality watches nowadays I think that's probably impossible. VC do it but imagine how much they would charge me! Would love to though!
Thanks very much for all your suggestions.
Having seen the pictures of some of the watches suggested, I have decided that a straight military/sport type (e.g. Sinn, IWC) is not for me; there will...
Hi,
Could anyone help me with this?
I am looking for a mechanical chronograph watch that meets the following criteria:
1. Smallish: say between 38-40 mm
2. Black or very dark dial
3. Good...
In my opinion, the quality is not there. Greatly overpriced beyond what one normally sees in the watch industry. Look at the blown-up detail pictures on Jura and you'll know what I mean.
Cheapo Chinese, I'm afraid.
A fully air-conditioned building in Switzerland, and he says it's energy-efficient? All the other gadgets are just gimmicks unless he tries not to use air-conditioning in the first place. And in...
Hi, Just to let you know that I have uploaded a new artwork in Born's Gallery. Not watch-related though, so be warned.... :)
Born
Didn't realise Q-taro and Rolex mix :D
What you gentlemen have said sounds interesting. I don't mind a waiting list, as long as it is real and there's prospect of obtaining the watch in 1-2 years' time. In fact, I have far too many...
Hi,
I have seen many Daytonas being sold above their RRPs, despite their having been in the market for some years now. Is it really not possible to obtain a new Daytona at its list price? Are...
How about oblong?

(Shameless pluck for my SC offer! )
That is utterly poor workmanship. I would have it sorted, definitely!
Hope it comes back perfect.
What say you?
I'd say the new co-axial with sapphire glass and date any day. For me, unless we are talking about the original moon watch, i.e. the exact design produced right after the moon...
In general, no one at my workplace wears anything decent. However, there's a post-doc in my group who regularly wears a Mark XV chronograph. And I've noticed she has a Montblanc automatic for...
Does it mean that, in the original model, the recordable elapsed time is limited by the length of the spring? If so, what will happen then if the chronograph is still engaged? Or is there a...
Put the minute and hour indicators on the edges of two separate sapphire disks revolving above the chronograph hour and minute dials, with the chronograph second hand on top of the uppermost disk. ...
Are you sure you are not comparing it with a watch with a higher-beat movement or one with a short sub-second hand?
No mechanical watch's second hand is perfectly smooth.
My VC OS is fine.
Never mind Candino. I remember Zenith did it once very recently (ie in the last say 2 years). They stuck two 4s on or something like that.
And this is another one: ...
