Nice one!
I would only change the lume pip and keep the rest original.

The bezel should turn smoothly, and while the clicks should not inhibit the rotation, they should be noticeable. Kind of hard to describe 8)
Even at normal prices I'd prefer the black or blue dials...
My experience is that clean & dry bezels turn best, since most lubricants seem to make the o-ring swell up a bit, and bezel feel is very sensitive to this. My recommendation would be just a clean,...
I made the bezels on my 2 Seilo SKX diver mods bi-directional since it's quite a bit more practical. The ones on the 6309 and 7548 are bidirectional anyway.
However, I can't bring myself to mess...
If it's just the spring in the crown, you can fix that yourself with a new crown (ebay), and case opener and a pin. Open the back, push the crown release, drop out the old crown and put in the new...
I think it's quite interesting, it's a hacking, handwinding day-date movement that should fit the classic diver line. I'm considering getting a cheap Seiko 5 with the movement and doing a transplant.
I own a blasted steel 142 with 3 subdials, unprotected pushers and the spacelab caseback. I also found a NOS bracelet like the one in your pics for it (it came on the more recent steel bracelet with...
I prefer the 22-18 taper since I have relatively slim wrists. 18mm ends also mean I can fit Marinemaster clasps, which I have on 2 of my oysters.
I also prefer folded end links since they are...
Going from past performance is also a risky way to predict the future. Noone can tell you for sure that sometime in the next few years Rolex prices won't crash for some reason.
Creation also makes up the "3" and "4" extensions to the model number :)
... and both are bracelets that Creation puts on the watches. Seiko doesn't sell the SKX009 on an oyster. Not that it matters much.
These are dive straps, they are supposed to be able to go over a neoprene suit...
I have a silver 142 which I have the original bracelet for, but sometimes I put it on a straight-end oyster which looks pretty nice. You should be able to find a PVD oyster to match.

I built me this 6309-7548 Quartz hybrid which I wear a lot. It is also quite accurate, in the range of 2 or 3 seconds per month - not bad for a 25 year old...
I think an additional wrist or table top shot in natural (window) lighting will help put things into perspective.
Most watches with lots of small scratches and blemishes still look mint on the...
The Skx007 is the successor of the 7002. Cheap as chips and probably the best value watch in the world.
You're not the only one! This ad has put me off Patek forever (unless I catch a zombie virus that lets me become a total tw@t).
That's really top-end cleverness - to watermark with your company name the promotional images of a watch that carries your company logo :drunken:
What are they protecting themselves from? Some...
Screen printing with silver paint!
Isn't there a 32mm datejust as well?
Except for the insert!
I've had good success with cheap screwdrivers.
You need to sharpen them regularly, but I prefer them to be softer than the screws since they are often easier to repair or replace than a stripped...
The 007 is quite a bit larger than a Rolex sub, you should try one on and see.
The 6309 has the exact same dial size and bezel diameter, it's just the case shape that makes the bigger...
I've seen a cracked one, they're black all the way through :/
