    Re: REGISTRATIONS - FAO MODS

Well as for me I've been trying for months :D - I also never found the notice about the working hours. If the error message were changed to give this information, there would probably be less...

    Re: REGISTRATIONS - FAO MODS

Nay, you only must register during UK working hours, otherwise it does not work. Got me as well.
  3. Re: How to get my new watch not to stink of (male) perfume?

I thought metal didn't absorb smell, but then I should have gotten the case to be smell free, since I've used:
    damp cloth
    micro fibre cloth
    washing up liquid
    soap in hot water
    alcohol based...

    Re: Setting the time.

The time Eddie's Dreadnought shows is your computer's system time. If it always agrees with this time.is site it is synced via the network, so you don't need the time.is at all. Just set it against...

    Re: Setting the time.

Listen to Bob, he's got it right. NTP is a protocol widely used for time synchronisation in Unix world (so probably also used by Mac), and it is also used with the windows time service in a...
  6. Re: How to get my new watch not to stink of (male) perfume?

Actually face only. But not if you use so much that it runs down your forearms while putting it on.
  7. Re: How to get my new watch not to stink of (male) perfume?

Amen. I absolutely hate this. Some people do this habitually, one chap I worked with would stink up a corridor and the smell would linger for hours (which was useful as I didn't like him so I could...

Re: What Came First For You...........

Timefactors. I have tried for quite a while to join (actually since one of my first visits on TF), but never managed - turns out I was always trying when I'm at home, which is outside working hours...

Re: Desk clocks - any that aren't tat ?

Cheers Verv - I keep meaning to ask a D&T teacher mate of mine to make a proper stand for it... At the mo it's stuck down to a laminate sample with blue tack

    Looks ok though...

    Re: Shaving cream ideas

They are softer and feel much nicer on your skin, the bristle ends are thinner and can reach nicely lower to the hair base, they produce a better lather and are much nicer to work with. There is also...

Re: Menfolk! Possible car issue diagnostic help?

Probably. It is probably just aircon, if it were the radiator you'd have overheated long ago. However remote diagnostic is impossible here. Find a garage or ask AA to have a quick look and tell you...

Re: Menfolk! Possible car issue diagnostic help?

Yep, those are cooling ribs. Seems well smashed up, if it were a radiator it would have leaked and you would notice. Probably aircon.

Re: Menfolk! Possible car issue diagnostic help?

With "coconut matting" I rather associated this:

    (flexible exhaust pipe)

However a strip of radiator ribs would be imaginable. Probably not the...

Could be the flexible hose of the exhaust system. Not that bad.

Well, better that than Courtney Love. :D

There are two ways of dealing with it which immediately come to mind. Either learn to ignore it, or make yourself a workout program and get...

    Re: The random disclosure thread.

Oh come on, she does look rather nice.

Related to this, it seems as if I were definitely going old. Took me a while to remember who she is, and I had to look her up to see how she looks.
  22. Re: Shaving.... agian.... Need some advice please

It probably can not be stressed enough how important proper preparation is - making your own lather (properly, with enough water) and taking a couple of minutes to apply it with a brush is probably...

I'm closing in on 60 years of age.... reckon I've tried all that.... my beard seems to grow in all directions so shaving's not an easy thing for me. And I very much dislike the sight of my own...
