Actually, I think it does. Comparing the Blancpain website shows the sailcloth on the 45mm with a pin buckle, and the new 5010 sailcloth has a deployant. But then it's just a small jump from the...
The delta between the nato and sailcloth doesn't feel right, hopefully it's an error. It would have made more sense had the sailcloth come with a deployant but I don't think it does.
Lovely watch, I just picked up a 36mm explorer from the AD and put my name down for the same watch. The salesperson think I should get it in about 9 months all being well.
The oysterflex and white...
Ok you’ve both got me going. I’ve always wanted a Breguet and the Type XX completely escaped me as an option - great suggestion!
Hi All,
I don’t think I’ve done a formal SOTC before, or certainly not for a while. I’m looking to rebalance the collection (let’s be honest, aren’t we always), so I’d welcome advice on how I...
Looks great on your wrist, Martyn! Glad you’re enjoying it and perfect for the summer weather. That blue dial looks gorgeous with everything!
Wow that’s truly stunning. I’m not normally a huge fan of the DD as it’s a bit too “bling” for my own personal taste, but that is pretty close to perfection. Congrats and I hope you get a lot of joy...
I called lots of places yesterday to register for the 5990 and I wasn't even able to do that without prior Patek purchase history. So congrats for just getting the list!
Just got mine today, and already I can see I'll struggle to take it off. It's made me think about consolidating my collection: one dress watch, one very nice watch (weekends), and this for the rest...
Love the orange/salmon/pink one. Presumably none of the usual discounts can be had if this is a limited edition?
I’m also sceptical of this!
This is pasted from the email I received, which does make it sound genuine: “On the flip side we have also had confirmation that Tudor amongst a handful of other brands...
I wouldn’t normally create one of these threads but I thought the info would be useful to some; and, we’ll find out if it’s true on Friday in any event. I had an email this evening saying the...
I am on the list for the taupe 43mm with AP house and they suggested around a 6 months wait, which didn’t sound as bad as I had feared. They are rumoured to increase prices imminently though, so I...
I do love it and I was going to get one a few months ago before I tried it on. It actually wore a lot better than I had initially thought but the thickness was a bit off-putting. It would also be...
I currently have a three-watch collection and I'd like to keep it under 5, so I'm considering what to add next. My current collection comprises:
1. Rolex Airking 116900 (I'll never sell this as I...
I'm hoping for something big from IWC. It's about time they refresh the Aquatimer and/or improve the once-great Ingenieur.
It also looks like Bremont is trying to milk that Daytona cash-cow:

For sure. Problem solved: I won't be taking the watch with me. Too much risk and potential hassle; she'll just have to wait until we return!
Will definitely not be able to buy one through the AD, so I'll have to pay above RRP and go grey unfortunately.
Thanks for the advice all, I'm in two minds as to whether it's worth the risk in the unlikely event it does cause issues. I'm not a resident of Spain and we are just going for a long weekend, so the...
It’s my wife’s birthday at the end of the month and I’m planning on buying her a watch in the UK. We will be in Spain when it’s her birthday, so I want to take it with me for her to open, but I’m a...
Yup! I did also pay £9k for it about 8 months prior to that though, so I wasn't fortunate enough to buy it at a good price either (although that would now be a bargain!).
Miss my one dearly. Having sold for 9k a few years ago, I need to recalibrate that 16k or thereabouts is just where the new entry price is these days. Definitely a keeper and it looks great!
I'm intrigued by it. The DSSD wears pretty well for the size (when viewed from the natural distance people will typically see the watch from), and this isn't too far away. I have a hankering or...
And a new green 300M too! (sorry, slightly OT).
