How about a Laco ?
They are one of the original five, they are really nice and they sell for €200 and up.
I have got one with the Miyota 8215 movement and I can't really fault it.

Citizen's take on this is that it is better than ETA's dual direction winding. The argument goes something like this:
Usually, hand movements are quite small, so you need something that works with...
Lucky you.
Mine gains ~4 sec / day; not bad though ....
It also seems that Eddie is moving (no pun intended) in the same direction with the PRS-18.
Perhaps someone should nudge Steinhart and the likes in the same direction.... :?:
Thanks. Obviously, it seems as if Citizen are serious about it this time. And about bloody time ETA got some competition.
:)
However, I was more interested interested in whether someone actually...
Anybody out there, that has insight into the Miyota 9015 movement?
It is obviously being compared to ETA2824, but how does it stack up?
Looks like a great watch.
Must have one.
:)
A seriously nice watch, mate.
Right out of Kubrick's 2001 :)
Supply and demand .... :blackeye:
I like the decoration of the inside of the clasp.
Very nice indeed and not often seen.
:)
I always felt that Oris made really nice watches, but their insistence of their lug design has always put me off. The lack of option to pun on a different band has always been a deal breaker, sad to...
That is a seriously nice collection you have got there.
I think the difference between the watches is that while the Elvis watch is just tacky and tasteless, the Rolex is an expression of total lack of integrity:
(1) Take something really nice and...
Ugliest or most beautiful ever ?

I had a short email exchange with Gunther. I asked if there would be a 'public' version of the Black Sea. He responded that he knew that there had been a lot of buzz regarding this exact model and I...
:D I like him[/quote]
It's been quoted quite a bit, but here goes again. Quite a funny read.
I suppose that in the days when your fishmonger knew your name and what sort of cod you liked on a...
That is correct.
I have a couple of 7t92 watches and it is a quartz movement.
Seiko use it in many, many watches:
From the lowliest Lorus through Pulsar up to and including their Velatura series.
Definately also worth a look.
Gratitude sent in your direction.
I absolutely fell in love with this, so I tried to rder it, but alas: UK Watch Strap only ships to UK and since I live in Denmark ... :(
Well, on goes the hunt
... and I guess that that is what...
Many nice suggestions. However, if you previously looked in the direction of Steinhart, You could take another look. They also have their Triton line of diver's watches. Quite nice and substantial,...
Thank you. I should be able to find something there.
... if not at Toshi's :)
Seiko Ananta Spring Drive
But I can understand that the jury is still out deliberating whether these can be described as automatics.
Surely gentlemen, however nice toshi straps are, are these things really the only straps that can guarantee total bliss ?
FYI, there is a great little graphics application called PhotoFiltre, that is free and can run without being installed. Just download and unzip into your documents folder and run. If you are really...
