One reason for the dots would probably be that they could be filled with loads of luminous material, which isn't a bad thing in a diver watch.

Very nice shots and you are really tempting me to buy one...
Practically I can understand and can't really argue with that. But aesthetically? No, no and no! It looks much better without the date. And day? - The horror, the horror...
Those who have bought one are hanging on to it - I guess that's a good sign. :)
Here's a pic of mine.

Oh, and the bezel DO have all the markings, I tried to block out reflections during this shot using a black piece of...
Sold this combo a few days ago. Omega 1171/1 bracelet.

There might be one coming up in Sales Corner quite soon ;)
I'm thinking of selling my PRS11 (black dial, PVD case, ETA2824). Anyone that has any idea what kind of price they are going for right now? They don't seem to turn up very often.
The last PRS4 I...
The PRS3 is more accurate - it uses an ETA2824 movement which is considered a bit better than the inhouse Seiko movement. Don't ask me fore any exact numbers - I've got far to many watches to keep...
I wouldn't bother with it. You will be struggling with it on a 6.5 inch wrist. It's 16mm high and lug to lug is 50mm. Trust me - I've owned the Monster and both the PRS50 and PRS50B. The PRS50 wears...
Here's a quick'n'dirty one (the wathes WERE very dirty - especially the PRS3 that I have worn a lot lately).

A couple of weeks ago there was a near mint feet first 5513 for sale on the Vintage Rolex Forum. It had box, pappers and everything that should have been there when you bought it new. If I remember...

BTW Robert do a nice 39mm Sub homage of similar quality to Steinhart:

The Robert doesn't look to bad. If you try not to look at the...
I'm not sure exactly what that is, but I like it! Is it a Sieiko 6105 case with MKII parts?

The single crown one in my picture on page one has a working quick set date. You push the crown in towards the case to change date.
The Longines simularities aren't an imagination. I believe that the Wittnauer company was owned by Longines.
Here's my Wittnauer.

Naahh the grey is too bland, you need some contrast to the case, so any other colour will do [/quote]
Who needs contrast? :D

I agree - a great watch! Personally I felt that it belonged on a Nato.

The LE feels a bit more 'bling' and I use it with the bracelet.

Acrylic does seem to be doomed in this case :D
Cheers

 It wasn't a Freudian slip though (I hope) :) I'm perfectly happy with either Acrylic or Saphire.
Here's my thoughts
-It should be thinner than the PRS14. Skip the extra AM protection.
-No date dial. Big triangle version.
-Crystal should be doomed. Acrylic would help to keep the price down....
I'm the present owner of the Snowflake mod mentioned in the thread. It has unfortunately stopped working so right now it's only nice to look at and not much more...
