I totally agree. They have a version of the Spring Drive movement with the power reserve on the back. They should use that on all their Spring Drive models.

I think it might need a "reset". If I remember correctly it was pulling the crown out to the time-setting position for my watch. (it may be in the manual if you still have it)

In this case it's the "base 1000" that's even more rare. It was only on the really early models like the 2998.
