Best place to ask would be over on Breitling source, lots of experts over there. I'd buy it just for the bracelet, looks identical to a rare early Seiko one.

I suppose the strap could have broken and the watch dropped a long way. Imagine if you were rock climbing and you snapped the strap, a long bouncing drop with lots of impacts might explain things.
Bit late for that, they've had his carpet already! ;-)
Nice old Citizen diver for me today....

I'm not sure I agree. Vintage dive watches are a very popular segment of watch collecting. Yes they don't attract your average Joe Bloggs, but if you are into your watches then Vintage dive watches...
I got bitten last year, bid on an old Zenith Defy, didn't get the watch, seller emailed me to say he'd accept a price not far off what I'd bid. Paid by Paypal gift, watch turned up in far worse state...
I use crappy old AOL, no problems at all here!
I've used Michael Kibby for a broken balance staff and a friend in work has used him for a service and was happy with the results.

Lovely watch that, long been on my wishlist. I've got one of the earlier, automatic Snorkels. Keeps fabulous time, but is rather small by todays standards..

Stupid crappy nicknames given to watches and colour coded straps!
Just thought I'd add my old Junkers. This has had quite a lot of wear, and needs a bit of TLC. Good reliable watch though.

I suppose he's not technically doing anything wrong. There's no rules saying that the photo has to be of the actual item, after all , most dealers just have a stock photo.
I've been tempted a few...
I love Seiko 5's, they're great reliable watches made in an incredible variety of styles. I own them from early ones to my current daily beater which is only a year old.
One of my earlier ones, a...
I love these watches and was lucky enough to pick one up off ebay a couple of years ago very cheaply.

I think if I had someone asking legitimate questions, and then someone came along and offered full price, then I'd let the original customer know I'd been offered full price. If he then offered full...
I just wanted to pick the brains of those more experienced in high end watches as I'm more into vintage stuff.
A chap I know is a pilot, and during the course of his career has managed to be given...
I was given a couple by my girlfriends family when a relative died. (they know I like my watches and thought I'd like them)
One of them turned out to be a charming silver hunter fusee with a...
I think it's just the old 'flavour of the month' thing again. They've been a popular and collectable watch for many years, but just recently you can barely go on a watch forum without someone saying...
It does bear more than a passing resemblance to a Longines Conquest.
Hi from civilised Suffolk. :hello2:
I was Given an old silver Grimalde and Johnson pocket watch from 1819. It needed a service/clean and a new balance staff.
I sent it off to a chap in Boston. Great service, very enthusiastic and...
I have a few Bell matics and they wind nice and smoothly. You can get a mechanical noise a bit like a rattle or a clunk if you wear it with the alarm fully unwound. The little hammer inside the case...
All this fuss over a two year old advert?
