Thanks for everyone's views, appreciated....a mixed bag of responses. I shall shut up now and stop stewing!
That's really kind of you, appreciate that. I've managed to add the link myself now but thanks. From other posts it appears I was naive in thinking that customer service is a good thing and i...
Seriously, £50, I know they have overheads but come on!! If I was going to a non AD I would understand them trying it on but hey!
Thanks very much. I guess so and of course if I bought it from a 'grey dealer' I would understand, but I didn't and I think that was why, on principle, I thought it harsh. Buy hey, live and learn.
Couldn't catch the monkey but good point - yes done it myself now. Took two mins. Principle I guess. Lesson learnt. My wife's 50th soon, I won't be buying her special gift from them!
Thanks- I tried.
I'd be interested in opinions please....here's the facts:
On Friday I picked up my new pride and joy, a Rolex Sea Dweller DeepSea D-Blue from an AD in London. This was after a six month wait. So,...
For diving, running and cycling....oh and admiring!
I got ALL the papers, boxes, warranty pictocards, etc from Iconic - and yes the full four year warranty for my Omega. Yes the watch was sourced from Europe but does that matter when you save 20% for...
Just chopped in two to get my grail AP....arrives tomorrow...yahoo!
Fair point - I'm not disagreeing with their finishing or quality, in fact I'd be astonished (especially for that price) they would be anything else than perfect. I tried one in in Harrods earlier...
Brilliant...loving the watch...it's a keeper!
Hi, I haven't used OB but like you did a LOT of research online before purchasing a watch with Iconic - spookily enough it was an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean in titanium. The service was first class...
Blimey, better than Audermars P? I'm not sure that I entirely agree but hey.
Yep I would second this - I go on my regular Holy Grail visits to London every few months and always drop by Selfridges, Bond Street and on occasion, Harrods. I think it is hit and miss. Last year,...
+1 - agreed, one of my first prize possesions...
That is such a special thing to have that bond and now a proud Dad and Son sport their watches :-)
Hmmmmm
- Audermars Piguet ROO 44mm
- Rolex Sea Dweller Deepsea D-Blue
A very short list!!
+1 what camera please? Love the movement shot...
Ha Ha - I don't want you to sit on the fence over this! :friendly_wink:
Wow, now they are true all weather shots! I think that's the point for me, I really do want to wear this watch and not worry about the day to day dinks AND feel that I have a special watch on my...
Thanks for posting this shot - lovely, lovely.
I'm now thinking the DSSD is probably the choice, although I have until Sept to confirm because that's the earliest the AD can get one even though I...
Go on, please share?! :joyous:
Money is not out of the question but I have downsized to upsize if that makes sense? I have traded in my Panerai 305 and Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean (Titanium) to contribute to a very nice AP (grail...
No that's a fair comment....it IS a big difference in price....looking at some Youtube footage of both is interesting. I tried the D-blue on in Bond Street several weeks ago (it was already sold) but...
