One New Year's resolution which didn't last long!
My New Sinn 903 Navigator, which I picked up from James Porter Jewellers in Glasgow yesterday. The watch Manager David Sharp was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure doing business with him.
I'm generally very pleased with the watch. It is also a better size for me than the Breitling Navitimer. As you would expect from a Sinn, the quality is very good, and the movement (SW 510A?) is quite nicely decorated and seems accurate so far. The slide rule is controlled by the crown at 10. I find it quite stiff and fiddly to use, and I'm not sure it is an improvement over the manual turn bezel. But that is a minor gripe really, as I am very unlikely to use the slide rule in anger.

The new Submariner is 21.0mm at the lugs and tapers to a 16.4 wide link, but then has an 18.6 wide clasp. That’s 3mm wider than the previous generation, which in watch dimensions, is clinically significant but still minute.

Feel blessed to have acquired this to mark the birth of my daughter (our first). This has been my grail for a long time. Watch is being collected for me and I will give it to IWC for service (though it is running at 0/s per day) to have a polish, full service and likely replacement hands.
So likely see it sometime in 2023!!!
