I treated my 2255.50 Electric Blue to one of Cousins’ new generic Seamaster bezel inserts. I think it looks pretty good. I’m almost certain Omega never made a 2254.50 in blue...

Agreed. I have often wondered why they didn’t offer a blue bezel to match the blue dial, when they did offer a matching bezel for the black dial

That does look rather good. I may not have sold mine if I'd considered that combo.

I’ve been looking at the Cousins aftermarket inserts
for my 2254 that has some scratches.
The blue one looks pretty decent fit and quality.
I may try this myself. (with a black one obvs)

I have recently purchased a 2254.50 and it is a cracking watch.
I really want to upgrade the dial to the 2530.50 (commonly known as non AC). Applied logo and indices per the PO style.
Will see !
That looks loads better, the main reason i sold my 2255.80 was the fact the bezel picked up scratches easy

From my limited experience the Cousins inserts are very good. This one snapped straight in without glue and the dark blue matches the Electric Blue dial very nicely indeed - I’ll try and get some better pics tomorrow if I get a spare minute. Only the pearl looks a bit naff, but I can live with it.Quote:

I like the watch, even though I’m not a fan of modifications this one looks right to me.
As for the quality of the Cousins inserts, I tried one a couple of years back and I wasn’t impressed. The colour was way off, and the painted finish looked as if it would chip and scrape off easily. The only good thing was the fit, it fitted well.
I returned the watch to the owner with his original bezel ( which was very badly faded), I’d serviced and refinished the watch but I was so unimpressed with the bezel insert I let him have it for free. Possibly the quality has improved, there’s certainly demand for an alternative to being fleeced by Omega for the original.

You clearly didn’t realise that the polished 2255 bezel insert takes very well to a polish with a Cape Cod cloth and comes up perfect. It took me a few years to figure this out but now my 2255 looks mint. This is a big advantage the 2255/2265 has over the other models with coloured anodised insertsQuote:

I like the colour combo but I am not a fan of the bezel lume pip, looks a little like something you would see on a bad fake :-(

I think that looks rather smart.
I have a dilemma as I have a blue "bond" seamaster and the bezel is faded slightly (in a good way). But I lost the pearl. It is annoying and I don't want to replace the whole bezel as I like the original, but I'd like the pearl replaced.
Would it be feasible to buy one of those inserts and transfer the pearl from the replacement bezel to the original? Anyone know if it'll fit?
How is the pearl held in the insert??

With the steel bezel that is probably my least favourite seamaster, but with the blue it becomes my favourite.
