Rather than starting a whole new thread, thought I'd ask you Speedy guys; my mate is wanting to get a Speedy but is planning on buying a Speedmaster Reduced. As I understand it these carry and automatic movement and are 38mm as opposed to 42mm.
Anyone any experience of owning a Reduced? Are they good alternatives or inferior copies? Thanks in advance.
I asked that nice Carl of GasGasBones if he could knock me up a 50cm laser engraved laminate of the Hergé moon rocket to match the Saturn V that he already produces. He went over and above, sending me not only the matching set (which I have yet to mount) but a selection of fobs, magnets and coasters to boot. I'm extremely chuffed.

I have just come across an old warranty card from 1994 before I had any real interest in watches.
The watch is long gone,I think I sold it to another shop.
If by any amazing chance you have this watch then the card is for you.

Hello,
Embarrassing newbie owner question here.....
Picked up my first Speedy from the AD last night but since not having one before how should the pushers "feel"? Both mine have a definite slight resistance and solid click when depressed, is this right? :dontknow::dontknow:
Joe
Very much what I'd hope to feel when pushing in the pushers.
That's all ok then! and congrats on the new watch too mk2driver
I bought a 1979 Speedy a few weeks back from a friend,he bought it off the original owner.BUT the first owner sent it for a service to Omega at some time!.Not all owners of watches of any value or brand are interested in what might happen at a service, the watch had a new case back, new dial and hands, the new owner will have loved his nice new glowing look to his old watch!!!.
It is nice yes,a 145.002 821 ticking happily and looking smart, but if only he knew what he'd done to the value of it!........
Id like to source the dial and hands that would have it back as it was......if you have what I'm after then drop me a PM.
Posted these in the Friday thread but thought they’d be of use here too.
BOB Marino Snoopy-esque strap with Omega deployant on my Speedy Moonwatch Pro. The bracelet is now safely tucked up avoiding scratches for the time being.

Since I don’t own a car, I had to use a Cold War relic for a ‘wrist shot while driving’ stand-in. Who’s first to ID the ride?

Easy.
It’s a Beetle. (Late ‘70s).

Trabant?
has it really done 640,000 Km? or does it only go up to 99,999
Looks like Trabant logo on the steering wheel

Trabant it is! In a creamy beige. Interesting shifting mechanism. Unlike a floor mounted shifter, this one was near the steering column. First time for me. It was also an estate model, which seemed less common.
My family and I took a Trabi Safari tour in Berlin yesterday. Highly recommend it.

Guess the clue was Trabant written in the centre of the steering wheel ('steering' being a loose word in all respects).
It´s a 145.012

^ sorry, I reduced the image size/quality so as not to waste bandwidth and because it annoys me when people post massive photos that go off the screen.

Cheers. I’ve got something similar from Hirsch, it’s nice, but a little thin at the lugs. I think I’ll give Pav a call and order one of his.
This is mine.

Your welcome, hirsch are very nice straps I have them too, the beuty of Pavstraps is you can tell him exactly what you want, and that really helps if you want that custom fit, as I find a lot of straps come up on the small side for me, I've dealt with Pav on numerous occasions and he's always made me a fantastic strap.
