Looks like mine has the misaligned ring too ; No matter, I'll order a domed sapphire ( Crystal Times on ebay ) and get Duncan to straighten it out when he fits the new crystal, he did a great job on my 777 version. I recommended the Crystal Times crystals too.
Just done live chat with crystal times he has a 1.5mm dome or a 3mm dome with or without internal AR coating
what's the advantage to the domed crystal?
It gives the watch a different look makes the dial look even better IMHO. Check out crystal times website ive just ordered CT072 which is a 3 mm double dome with internal AR coating with a tinge of blue to it
I went for the slight dome and not the "Bubble boy" type he also offers - Looks great on my 777 version, but with the blue AR tint should look a treat on the PADI.

Yes Duncan is Cannop on here and his work is highly recommended, drop him a PM I'm sure he'll sort you out without breaking the bank.
Cheaper to order direct using paypal and with free airmail postage my crystal will also have a small subtle turtle laser etched into the centre of the crstal visable only from certain angles. Cant wait for it to arrive thanks for duncans username as well
Ah, it was the laser etching I wanted to see.
Mine arrived from Hollins and Hollinshead, no alignment issues.

Update..
The retailer (Jura) are unwilling to hold one by for me due to the 'popularity of the watch' even though they have them in stock to buy and they know I want a replacement
They have made it very clear how popular it is and it seems to be that they want me to keep it, they have said they will look at it once it arrives back with them
Considering I had a £200 deposit down for some time and unhappy with the watch you would think they would replace it as they have stock (am I being unreasonable)
Can we get some wrist shots in this thread, with wrists sizes noted? Personally I'm curious to see how it sits on a smaller wrists.
This is my other SRP Turtle on my 7.2" wrist.

Cheers, I never really looked at the Turtle until this edition. It's really nice, but that confirms it, too big for my girly wrists.
I am not sure if it would be too big as I have 6.5" wrists and have owned both a 6309 and a 6105 and the cushion case is very comfy as I have just gone from dismissing one to actually thinking about ordering one as I do really like this PADI design as the blue dial is a different blue to the standard blue turtle dial and if I thought it was too big it would sell easily on sc.
Cheers, it has been sent back and now I can only wait and see, this has dampened my enthusiasm for this watch (and it was a long wait)
To the others who ordered through Jura did you get the 'free gift' nothing in my package even though the springbar tool was selected (i know its pence but still another negative)
I have asked them to make sure they check this one before dispatch, odds on something will be wrong :)
Hope it doesnt come to that. There is always the seiko service centre to hopefully realign it under warranty. The watch looks fantastic feels great on the wrist the combination of newness with a link to the iconic version of the past means for me its unbeatable!!!
Damn I have gone from being put off this watch due to alignment issues to really wanting one now!!!!
I love blue dials and only found out today that the PADI version is a more striking blue dial than the standard model, I suppose there will be the odd misalignment on chapter rings as they are mass produced aren't they I am not sure how much it would bug me but I spoke to Jura today and they said they were running low on stock but could get me one and if I wasn't at all happy with the chapter ring they would refund me so that's good, so do I or don't I :)
Will it be ok for my small 6.5" wrist!
I do rate this watch, bezel action good screw down crown also good VERY comfortable to wear mines on an isofrane the blue dial is better than i thought it would be the way it catches the light is fab!!. Crystal will be changed for a high dome sapphire with int AR which will make the dial even better IMHO. I didnt like the skx007 but i adore the padi variant each to their own thou!!
Alignment on mine is a little off, but I expect I will keep it.
I'm not sure that wrist shot is representative. Maybe a combination of the usual distortion of a self-taken wrist shot, and round wrists?
I say that, because my wrist is a very average 7.5 inches, very close in size to the one pictured, but flat. On me the watch doesn't wear too big at all. The cushion case makes what would otherwise be a big watch very wearable. Remember, the dial/bezel diameter is what? 40mm?
I usually prefer smaller watches - 36-38mm for none divers, 42mm max for divers. I was pleasantly surprised how well this wears.
For example, I have had several 42mm watches which somehow looked bigger.
Sorry to see there are still quite a lot with alignment issues. Would put me off buying new.
I was tempted by the PADI special edition, but settled for an SRP773 instead, partly because one came up second hand so I could see before buying that everything lined up.
I would agree, I seem to have a knack of making watches look bigger in wrist shots. Just had another go which is hopefully more representative....

Here's a shot on a 6.75" wrist, and as you can see it wears pretty nicely. Just waiting for Vinnie's Strapcode super jubilee to arrive now...

Strapcode Super Oyster.
Works perfectly
That's a much better shot. The first one was deceiving and looked like the lugs were right up to the edges of your wrist which is why I figured it won't fit me.
Reading the other replies makes me want to give one a go. 42mm is usually the largest I can get away with, maybe I can pull off one of these as well.
Mine arrived some time ago, it is a good solid well made bracelet. It arrived with a set of normal spring bars, managed to fit one fat bar but had to use one of the normal bars as the alignment is not quite right to get the other one in. The link next to the fine adjustment required a little rubbing down with fine grit paper to fit inside the clasp. The fit is not perfect, but then again neither was the original, about par for this price range.

Definite improvement over the original in my opinion.

Right then I have caved in and will order one tonight but as I am not a fan of bracelets which sort of strap should I put it on, I do like nice quality rubber straps so any suggestions as I am not that up on straps :)
or is the bracelet on this watch a good one?
Thanks
I don't like the stock strap so have put it on the strapcode bracelet which is far nicer.
It works well on an Isofrane too
Yes 22mm.
I was thinking these might suit
