Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
I was liking this off the back of the renders, but now that Lum-Tec has pics of the actual watch, I'm pretty much sold. Love the sapphire bezel, clear double-AR coating and the micro adjustment on the bracelet 8) Yes, I know Boschett have that on their CD II but that's 44mm x 16.5mm, too big for me, whereas the smaller 300M is 40mm by about 13mm, so the same as a 16610 Sub basically and much more wearable imho. I've got my pre-order in :)

Christ on a bike, that lume is good!

Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
That's a great looking watch, the only thing that seems aesthetically wrong to me is the length of the end links, they just seem too long to my eye. Apart from that I think it's a winner 8)
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
Nice watch at a nice size - great to see that beginning to happen - and really great lume, a winner IMHO.
Cheers,
Andy
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
It looks nice, but it may be just me, or does it seem like a lot of money for something with a Japanese generic movement? :?
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
That lume is so 8)
I'm not a massive fan of divers but that's a really good looking watch and judging from the wrist shot they've got the size right too, chunky but not overbearing.
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
Very good looking diver. Is that the PO bracelet?
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
Looks good. I think I would go for the rubber also would look very nice on a sail cloth strap and if your reading this Lumtec please matt finish case all over now polished accents!! :D

Same thing I thought. Sure looks a like.
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
Is it just me, or is it again much of the same, a biggish diver with a solid appearance and a lot of lume?
Daddel.
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
lovely watch, end links do look a little long but I think just because they and the case are/is straight rather than curved, if they where curved I think they would look right

I guess, but then £1500 might seem like a lot of money to pay for a quartz Seamaster or Aquaracer 500.
As for the bracelet, it does look very similar in terms of the PO one as far as style is concerned, but that's no bad thing in my eyes, it's a nice bracelet :)
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
Cant go wrong with a Lum-tec, I,ve had 4 now and loved everyone specially the M27 and M7
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
40mm diameter, 48.5mm lug-to-lug.
A boutique diver that's actually a reasonable size  sort out the price and put a 10-year battery in and Eddie might have some competition.

As if Omega would go to the expense of adding a micro adjustment to their PO bracelets.............
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
Moronic date window placement completely ruins yet another otherwise nice looking watch.
When will these watch companies learn?

To be honest it is probably one of my preferred places for a date window - it doesn't get in the way of the dial styling like most date watches.
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
Will the lume be that good in real life? I see that the second hand is in the same place in all the photos, so they could have minute-long exposures if they wanted. Plus of course it'll just have been recharged using the beefiest UV lamp they could find.

I've got a Lum-Tec M8 and it's got the best lume out of all the watches I own. They don't scrimp on the glowing stuff, that's for sure.

Not a bad looking thing, and pricing not too ambitious at £500 with the bracelet and rubber. Think I would still rather go Seiko and save the £400 towards something a bit more compelling.
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
Never seen this one before, very nice. That lume is exceptional.
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
Very nice watch and i could read by the lume at night...very good
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
I think it's great that they are making one of more sensibly sized proportion than the usual massive boutique divers. Though as others have said I think that it would look better with shorter lugs.
Re: Lum-Tec 300M prototype pics
The 40mm has my curiosity piqued, going to have to try one on sometime :?
