What's wrong with pen and paper?
Do what sorry....?
I’m rubbish at drawing and besides how do you email a piece of paper!
This is also more environmentally friendly.
On a different note, pencils/russians. Right over my head!
Take a photo of your work, or scan and email it?
Seriously ben, theres lot of evidence that the physical process of creating mindmaps in itself aids memory recall.
Good point.
Any elaboration on the Russians element.
Its a myth to do with the Americans and the birth of the space pen
Can’t beat their ingenuity.
No doubt we would have spent millions on consultants to come up with that idea.
Two words: pencil shavings
Anyway I believe that's bollocks and the Cosmonauts use a biro too?
I've used the previous version of iThoughts for years. Much better than pen and paper.

I use mindmap - open software.
I have used it for about fifteen - twenty years for taking notes and in some cases presenting.
Even when I took notes I used a similar graphic rep.
I wouldn't use anything else for complex technical stuff
I also speak to the mindmaps (sometimes during, sometimes after) It helps me to remember.

Not sure what this all means.
Is it akin to an information cascade or thought shower?
Thought shower, that sounds wrong but I like it!
