Hello, I've been lurking here for a while as i tend to do on most forums I'm registered on, recently i sent my breitling navitimer back for a bit of warranty work and was having some withdrawal symptoms from having a nice watch on my wrist.

I had looked at a number of replacements, all be it a temporary basis before i found the prs-22. My spec was it had to be in the pilot style with a swiss movement and a date would be a plus.

I was very keen on the steinhart nav b chrono but getting hold of anything from steinhart is quite a tricky process which largely relates on luck and timing, to top it off i wanted something asap.

Then one night while deleting my usual emails from watchfinder i saw a chance to win a nice pilots watch on the front cover, digging a bit deeper i read the article and was immediately impressed by the watch, it had a few things up its sleeve most of the other pilots did not, the biggest being water resistance.

I had toyed with the iwc 3717 after Christmas as there was a nos one in my town priced very keenly but i just couldn't get comfortable with having 2 watches with the same movement and neither of them having any wr.

The article in the magazine said the only drawback with this watch is the website, and I'd have to agree with that; having to wait 2 days to place an order annoyed me a little… .that being said the best things come to those who wait and i can be impatient at the best of times. The watch was delivered quickly and my initial thoughts were:

1) it looked a bit small;
2) the bracelet was good quality
3) i liked the screw down crown and the engraving on the case

After 3 weeks of wearing the watch here are my thoughts. The time keeping has been incredible, i set the watch 1 sec slow and by the next day it was at -10, i could live with 10 secs a day on a watch at this price point but in the next 3 weeks its only lost another 8 secs, so during normal wear, and regardless of how i store it at night its now bang on -1 sec per day. Simply amazing - tip of the cap regulating that one Eddie.

The bracelet, well there is certainly a nack to taking it off but its not too difficult. I tend to wear it on the bracelet during the week an then the nato at the weekend. I will be looking for a black leather pilots strap at some point with a deployment buckle to go with it.

As others have mentioned i found myself in between sizes on the bracelet with 1 being too tight and the other digging into the back of my hand when i bend my wrist back, my top tip is to offset the clasp on the loose setting. By doing this the clasp sits off centre on my wrist and so effectively gives me a 1/2 size - All my links are removed from the 6 o'clock side of the watch (will upload a pic when my account is activated)

The face is nice an crisp, 1 question though, what does the "sl" before and after great Britain mean - I'm thinking super luminova? Also the lume is incredibly good which is handy in Scotland where its dark almost all the time!

All in all live been pleased with my purchase, I've got comfortable with the size of the case too..
Watch has had many positive comments too which is nice. I've put some of the guys at work onto the brand so i wouldn't bee surprised of there is a brace of precistas popping up in and around Perth over the next few weeks.

Im a value for money guy, and while i love watches i think id rather have 10 timefactors pieces rather than splashing 15x the price on 1 single piece again now the its out of my system.

Keep up the good work eddie.

Having been reading this excellent forum for sometime, and salivating at the designs for Eddie's up and coming projects, I was browsing the Timefactors site when I saw a watch hitherto unseen!

I know it has a bit of a marmite reputation, but I have been looking for a white dialled watch for a while, and this just jumped off the webpage!

I felt the supplied tan strap didn't quite go with my pasty white wrist, so I've swapped it onto a weathered bomber jacket strap that I recently acquired to try on my Sub ND, I think it suits it quite well. I'm absolutely loving the white dial, with the distress call markers, it's so distinctive!

I'm really pleased with Eddie's service and his Smiths Radio Room PRS-28!

My latest ( thanks to JPJSavage) seems to have a third version of the ST19 movement - there is a different arrangement around the speed change lever in the mechanism, and I suspect that has changed before.
